Television 33

Introduction

Since introduction of the immigration policy in late 80, Chinese population has increased significantly over the past twenty years and now has about 180,000 Chinese living in Auckland which represents more than 10% of Auckland population.

A free Chinese television channel is what was missing in servicing this market until the launching of TV33 in May 2010.

TV33, a member of the Freeview Group, is a free-to-air channel specifically targeting the Chinese market in New Zealand. It is heard and viewed in English and Chinese. We are targeting those New Zealanders who want to be entertained and informed. Our programming schedule will provide entertainment through comedy, movies and reality format show, produced here and overseas. We will provide a regular forum for educating and informing recent arrivals on issues they may face.

TV33 has been leading New Zealand Chinese community to a whole new vision of the future trend. TV33 - empowered by state-of-the-art technology is leading the way in broadcasting. With this same technology we are able to satisfy our advertisers needs when it comes to production and broadcast. CNC Chinese and English Services

China Xinhua News Network Corporation (CNC) is a TV news network run by Xinhua News Agency arming to serve the audiences across the world. It airms to be an unbiased global news network that offers objective, comprehensive, in-depth and multi-dimensional news coverage and an alternative source of information for the global audience.

CCTV China Central Television

CCTV is the major television broadcaster in mainland China.
